Each time I play a new game, I'll post a review of it here. Here's an example of a format I might use. SHADO OF DESTANY FOR PSX2 Total Reviews: 8 Average Score: 4.64 out of 5 Review of: Shadow of Destiny Review By: Gene Vallee (pal1d12.dial.uniserve.ca) -- 5/25/1 09:26 Wow, talk about a neat concept. Go back in time to try and stop your own murder. I didnt know what to make of this game at first. The controls were a little wierd and I didnt know what to do when the game started. After solving your first puzzle though, the formula for the game becomes very easy to figure out. With multiple endings that reveal a little more about your story, I found myself wanting to finish it again just to round out what I already knew. The voice acting is not as bad as I expected it to be from reading past reviews, and the CG was done with a great artistic flair. That might be the only thing that might turn away some gamers... there are alot of movies to watch and you need to watch them. Clues are everywhere! I wouldnt recommend buying this game. After finishing it twice I found the fun-factor had dissapeared. Rent this one if you have a whole day to kill. Its a great waste of time! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review of: Shadow of Destiny Review By: David Armstrong (webcacheM09b.cache.pol.co.uk) -- 4/17/1 16:15 I'm feeling in a bit of a minority here, I seem to be the only person from England who's submitting a review.... Anyway, the 'Shadow Of Memories' (as it's called across the pond) is really cool. Name me one other where you can prevent your own death (or at least postpone it) by changing a tree into a statue via time-travel. Or where a 'family tree' of the characters will always lead back to the protagonist. You can't can you? (CAN you?) As has been said elsewhere, it looks a lot like Shenmue on the DC, but with slightly more jagged edges (but including an interesting, motivation-rich plot. Perhaps Yu Suzuki could take note in time for Shenmue Chapter 2, hmmm?). And yes it is short, but so is Metal Gear Solid (with only two endings), and that's still the PSOne's best game. A pretty solid game then, and well worth top marks. And I won't even take points away for the incorrect German pronunciations (it's KOO-sh, not cuh-sh, by the way). Another good recommendation for the game is that this, Z.O.E. and MGS2 made both my brother and one of my friends rush out and buy a PS2. So, buy it or miss out on the second-best PS2 game so far (SSX still rules with an iron fist). And if you're in the UK, get it from GAME in Watford and ask for Penfold. You know you want to. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review of: Shadow of Destiny jamie taylor (modem-129-87-60-62.vip.uk.com) -- 4/13/1 09:30 Shadow of destiny is a good game it has 5 different endings to it and the graphics are the best on the ps2.It has a great story line (trying to prevent yourself from dying by jumping through time).BUT there is just one let down to this great game its to short, sure its a great game but whats the point of a great game when there's not enough game play. You can play it over and over again to get the other endings like i did they are all quite different. And they have 10 chapters each and this is where this let down appears again each chapter takes about 10 to 20 minutes to do, so you WILL probally do all 5 endings in about a week.so my final virdict is about its a good game but not enough gameplay. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review of: Shadow of Destiny Josh (ppp-madison-181.dilyns.com) -- 4/11/1 13:09 This game is the greatest Sony Playstation 2 game so far I have seen. It's just amazing! The story line is excellent and the graphics are the COOL. If you don't have this game I feel bad for ya. You need this game. I'd rate Shadow Of Destiny with 5 STARS! And Daniel I know exactly where you can find a strategic guide for this game. Go and visit cheatcc.com and then go to sony playstation 2 codes then go to Shadow Of Destiny and then at the top of the screen where the codes are it will have the guide for the game. Click it then u'll have the guide. Hope ur happy. Later yall! EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET THIS GAME! "SHADOW OF DESTINY"! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review of: Shadow of Destiny Review By: Lee Strudwick (inktomi1-lan.server.ntl.com) -- 4/11/1 09:32 I dunno why this game's called Shadow of Desiny on this site, cos my ones called Shadow of Memories! Anyway, about the game! Its excellent, one of the best story lines ive ever seen! It was however a little to easy. But that doesnt matter considering you have to complete it 6 times and in different ways to get each ending (A-F)! The graphics are also top notch and I like the effects you get when you go back in time, the different colours you get to match the era are a nice touch! To Daniel who needed help, simply go back to the black and white era and go up the tower where the old rope was in "real time", you will now find the new, firm rope! Do exactly the same with this as you did with the old rope and BINGO! I give the game the full 5 stars! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review of: Shadow of Destiny Review By: Peter Mascio (2Cust44.tnt2.cleveland.oh.da.uu.net) -- 4/10/1 16:43 You ever make a decision that you would like to change. A case of murder with a lot of exitement. You want a game with a spin of you getting killed, coming back to life, and trying to change your destiny. Somebody is out to get you in this game and no one is an unpossible suspect. This is a must have game for any PS2 owners. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review of: Shadow of Destiny Review By: Daniel (FSH201116.resnet.ucsb.edu) -- 3/11/1 11:30 Good graphics, good gameplay, good good good good good good good good good good good good good good. Is has good graphics just like SHENMUE and AGARTHA and you can move the camera angle to th left or right and you play in a city where you have a time mashine wher you can go back time to 30 or 100, or 500 years ago to the same place and meet the ancestors of the people the live in the present day and see how the places change with the time and what this dont change they just renewal(get upgrade)..... Ilove this game just is a litle to hard when you get to higger levels ald you have to stop people that want to kill you and if you get kill you go back in time and see what you can do to stop it, so if someone hit in the back and kill you so you go back in time and put and iron plate in your back, go back to the present and you will survive... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shadow of Destiny .....
